Discover the art of creating beats and instrumental tracks in this engaging and hands-on class! Designed for ages 16 and up, this course introduces the fundamentals of beat-making and music production with a focus on hip-hop and rap. Learn to use samples, loops, and MIDI keyboards to compose original tracks while exploring digital music software in a professional recording studio setting.

What to Expect

  • Start Creating Right Away: From the first class, participants will create, record, and perform music.
  • Hands-On Learning: Explore techniques for beat-making in today’s hip-hop and rap styles, working directly in a professional recording studio environment.
  • Practice at Home: Build on your in-class creations using digital software of your choice, enhancing your skills outside the studio.
  • Exciting Finale: Produce a final track that showcases your unique sound, incorporating samples, loops, and live recorded sections.

This small group class is limited to 4 participants to ensure personalized guidance and foster a collaborative creative experience.
