Introduction to Music Production and Live Recording

Tuesdays, 3:45 – 4:45 PM and 6:00 – 7:00 PM

Explore the exciting world of music production and live recording! Designed for beginners, this course introduces essential techniques for recording, sampling, creating loops with MIDI input, and editing and mixing tracks using Logic Pro. By the end of the course, participants will have the skills to produce high-quality music tracks. No prior music experience is necessary—just bring your creativity!

Ages: Recommended for ages 14+

What to Expect

  • Start Creating Right Away: From the first class, students will create, record, and perform music.
  • Hands-On Learning: Learn the essentials of recording with equipment and microphones in a professional recording studio.
  • Practice at Home: Students are encouraged to experiment at home between classes, however, equipment or software is not necessary to progress in the course. 
  • Exciting Finale: Produce a final track that incorporates samples, loops, and live recorded sections to showcase your creativity.

This small group class is limited to 5 students, providing personalized attention while encouraging collaboration.
