Hsin-Hao (Vincent) Yang
Hsin-Hao Yang was born in 1998 in Changhua, Taiwan. He was the recipient of the Carol T. and Robert P. Henderson Presidential Scholarship for his Master of Music studies at the New England Conservatory, and he is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in the same institution under the instruction of Prof. Wha-Kyung Byun.
As an avid performer, Hsin-Hao has performed recitals in numerous major cities in both Taiwan and the U.S., including the invitation to perform Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with conductor Richard McKay and the Dallas Chamber Symphony Orchestra, a full solo recital at the famed National Concert Hall in Taiwan, as well as an exclusive solo recital at the Music Academy of the West. Hsin-Hao received first prize in the 2021 Music Academy of the West Solo Piano Competition, first prize in the 2018 Dallas International Piano Competition, CSUF Annual Concerto Competition, and National Music Competition in Taiwan. He also received the Patricia and Nicolas Weber Full Scholarship to attend both the 2020 and 2021 Music Academy of the West summer school in Santa Barbara and is an alumnus of the 2023 Piano Texas Festival in Fort Worth, the 2019 Art of Piano Festival in Cincinnati, the 2016 Music@Menlo Festival in San Francisco, the 2013 Interharmony Music Festival in Italy, and the 2011 International Youth Piano Festival in Taiwan.
Hsin-Hao was a student of Pei-Chun Liao, Grace Chung, Ning An and has been instructed in masterclasses by Fabio Bidini, Mikhail Voskresensky, Dang Thai Son, Paul Schenly, Enrico Elisi, Christopher O’Riley, John Perry, Conrad Tao, Conor Hanick, etc.
