RAP, or Rising Artist Program, is designed for students in grades 6-12 who wish to become more engaged in their musical journey at CMCB. Formerly known as the Intensive Study Project, RAP students participate in a program of varied musical activities, including: private lessons, chamber ensembles, and music theory/ear training classes. At the end of the year, each student will present an individual project on a musical subject of the student’s choosing at the Young Composers Festival.

The RAP Curriculum Includes:
- Private lessons with a CMCB instructor (required, billed separately)
- RAP Seminar (required)
- Music Theory Course (required)
- Creation and presentation of an individual music project or performance at the Young Composers Festival (required)
- Participation in the Lapin competition (required)

If you are interested in joining RAP, please begin by filling out the Student Interest Form by Friday, September 12th. Chamber Music auditions and Music Theory placements will occur on September 13th.
