The Rising Artist Program is designed for students in grades 6-12 who wish to become more engaged in their musical journey at CMCB. Formerly known as the Intensive Study Project, Rising Artist Program students participate in a program of varied musical activities, including: private lessons, chamber ensembles, and music theory/ear training classes. At the end of the year, each student will present an individual project on a musical subject of the student’s choosing at the Young Composers Festival.
The Rising Artist Program unites private lessons, music theory, and monthly RAP seminars into a comprehensive curriculum for middle and high school students.
Private lessons support your individual musical growth;
Music Theory deepens your understanding of how music works;
and RAP seminar provides a space to bring all these skills together with fellow musicians and apply them to a range of pathways-related activities, culminating in a personal choice project.
