Performing Musician – Elevate your performance skills through focused study of musicianship, engage in masterclasses, and discover new opportunities to share your musical skills.
Community Musician – Build meaningful connections through music, collaborate with peers, and engage in community-centered events.
Citizen Musician – Spark dialogue and respond to the world around you by creating and sharing music rooted in real-world perspectives.
Musical Explorer – Expand your musicianship by adding new technologies, instruments, and genres to your repertoire.
What to Expect
Monthly Themes: Each month focuses on different activities designed to connect to all four Pathways as well as the interests and experiences of the students in the program.
Unique Performance Opportunities: Students will not only gain experience playing music for an audience – they will also learn how to guide audience members towards a deeper listening experience, design programs and performances spaces focused on removing barriers, and create opportunities for dialog and audience interaction
Personal Choice Projects: The year concludes with each student completing a personal choice project focused on their areas of interest. Create an original composition, design a presentation on a favorite piece of music, or use your music to support a cause you are passionate about – the possibilities are endless!
