Musical Theatre Performance

Tuesdays, 4:30 – 5:15 PM

Does your child love to sing, dance, act, and make believe? Musical Theatre Performance (MTP) is the perfect place to nurture and grow their passions! Designed for ages 7–10, this dynamic class helps young performers develop confidence and core performing arts skills through humor, improvisation, story building, and free movement play.

Instructor(s): Que Powell
Ages: 7-10

What to Expect

  • Start Performing Right Away: From the first class, students will dive into singing, acting, and creative movement, engaging in activities like improv games, character analysis, and storytelling.
  • Hands-On Learning: Over the first few weeks, students will explore musical theatre repertoire, learning solos, duets, and group numbers from Broadway classics and contemporary movie musicals. They’ll also create and perform short skits.
  • Practice at Home: Students are encouraged to review their lines, songs, and choreography to build confidence for their performances.
  • Exciting Finale: Each semester culminates in a recital where students showcase their work, performing musical numbers and skits for family and friends.

MTP offers a safe, inclusive space for students to collaborate with peers while deepening their communication and observation skills. This class is designed to help students develop their creative expression and confidence as performers.

Materials: No special materials are needed—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm for performing!
