Musical Theatre Performance

Does your child love to sing, dance, act, and/or play make believe? Musical Theatre Performance (MTP) is the perfect place to nurture and grow those passions! In this class, students will develop confidence and core performing arts skills via creative expression pathways such as humor, improv, strategy games, innovative character analysis, story building, and free movement play. Students will also be introduced to a thorough survey of children’s musical theatre repertoire from the last 100 years of Broadway history, as well as contemporary movie musicals! Each semester culminates in a recital where students perform solos, duets, and group numbers, as well as present short skits. MTP provides a safe and inclusive space for students to collaborate with peers and deepen their observational, communication, and reflection skills.
