Musical Theatre Performance is a high-energy class for ages 7–12 who love to sing, act, dance, and use their imagination. Students build confidence and performance skills through improv, storytelling, movement, and songs from Broadway and movie musicals. They’ll learn solos, duets, and group numbers—and the semester ends with a fun recital for family and friends. No experience or special materials needed—just creativity and enthusiasm!

What to Expect

Start Performing Right Away: From the first class, students will dive into singing, acting, and creative movement, engaging in activities like improv games, character analysis, and storytelling.

Hands-On Learning: Over the first few weeks, students will explore musical theatre repertoire, learning solos, duets, and group numbers from Broadway classics and contemporary movie musicals. They’ll also create and perform short skits.

Practice at Home: Students are encouraged to review their lines, songs, and choreography to build confidence for their performances.

Exciting Finale: Each semester culminates in a recital where students showcase their work, performing musical numbers and skits for family and friends.

MTP offers a safe, inclusive space for students to collaborate with peers while deepening their communication and observation skills. This class is designed to help students develop their creative expression and confidence as performers.

Materials: No special materials are needed—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm for performing!
