Beginning Ukulele

Learn the basics of this accessible, entry level instrument, sure to inspire any young musician to keep playing and possibly even singing along at home! Ukulele is a great instrument to start your child’s musical journey.

This is a small group class focused on preparing students for private instruction, Elementary group classes, and/or ensembles. Each class is limited to 5 students and is designed to train the child’s ear to recognize melodic sounds and rhythm. Students then translate this recognition to their chosen instrument. The students will begin to visually identify notes and play simple melodies in this accessible first entry class.

Materials: Students should have a personal or rental ukulele at home to practice. CMCB has ukuleles available for students to rent.

Class(es): Tuesday 3:45 PM — In-Person
Ages: 4-7
Instructor: Javier Rosario
