What to Expect
Start Playing Right Away: From the very first class, students will create, read, and perform music.
Hands-On Learning: Over the first few weeks, students will master the basics of ukulele playing, including string names, finger positions, and hand coordination. They’ll also explore the musical alphabet and theory while learning to play solo and in an ensemble.
Practice at Home: Students should take their ukuleles home for extra practice. The more they practice, the better they’ll become!
Exciting Finale: Students will perform their favorite music in a Culminating Event, with additional performance opportunities available at CMCB.
This small group class focuses on preparing students for private lessons, elementary group classes, and ensembles. Each class is limited to 5 students to ensure individualized attention while fostering collaboration.
Materials: Students should have a personal or rental ukulele at home to practice. CMCB offers ukuleles for rent if needed.
