Join us for a survey of the String family instruments. Learn the basics of the Strings instrument family, music fundamentals, and begin preparation for private instruction in this first entry class. Students must have at least one instrument already at home or be able to rent through CMCB or a third party (Johnson String). Contact us if you need assistance with instruments. Please note: Survey instruments (violins and cellos) will be chosen based on inventory and enrollment.

Small group class focused on preparing students for private instruction, Elementary group classes, and/or ensembles. For questions about your child’s unique musical pathway at CMCB, please email us at registration@cmcb.org. Each class is limited to 5 students and is designed to train the child’s ear to recognize melodic sounds and rhythm. Students then translate this recognition to their chosen instrument. The students will begin to visually identify notes and play simple melodies.
