Summer Programs at CMCB

We are getting ready for warm weather and summertime! Registration is now open for our summer programs: SummerARTS, SummerMUSIC, individual lessons and early childhood classes. Join us this summer for art, drama, music, private lessons and more! Extended day options are available!

Castle of our Skins: Legacy

Thursday night, we enjoyed “Legacy,” presented by Castle of our Skins. For those who joined us, we hope you enjoyed listening to the striking works of Montgomery, Hailstork, and Walker — all contemporary black composers. We owe special thanks to the musicians of Castle of Our Skins for preparing such a wonderful program.

Student Sam Muzac Accepted to Prestigious YOLA

Sam Muzac was recently accepted to the Youth Orchestra of LA’s National Festival, an intensive summer learning program and top-tier ensemble.

Sam is a sophomore at the O’Bryant in Roxbury and Ann Micklich’s student here at CMCB. He will be traveling to Los Angeles in July for this program. Executive Director Lecolion Washington is on the faculty of the YOLA national festival and will be there this summer too.

  • Lynn Collins is a former attorney for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She lives in Dover, MA.
  • Kaia Miller Goldstein is an Economic Development Consultant at Aslan Global, is currently on Board of Advent School.
  • Tim Mangin is a professor of Music at Boston College with a special interest is the music of the Senegalese Diaspora. He is also a practicing jazz musician.
  • Tonia Speicher is a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at MGH and a former student of piano and violin at CMCB.
  • Catherine Miller, former Chief Advancement Officer, now will volunteer her time on the Corporation, continuing her support for CMCB.

  2. Enter you subscription number.
  3. Type “Community Music Center of Boston” to select your favorite nonprofit!
  4. Hit submit!

That’s it! So far, we’ve raised $425 through this program. Check us out on the leaderboard. Subscribers have until April 30, 2019 to submit vouchers! Spread the word.
