What to Expect

Hands-On Exploration: Students will try a range of instruments and learn the basics of how they work, making it easier to transition into focused lessons later.

Core Musical Skills: This class builds a strong foundation in ear training, rhythm, harmony, solfege, music literacy, composition, improvisation, and ensemble playing.

Pathways for Growth: After completing this class, students can:

  • Graduate into semi-private lessons with a new friend from class.
  • Transition to individual private lessons.
  • Join one of CMCB’s popular group classes.

Musical Explorers classes are a wonderful way for students to connect with their peers, grow as a musical community, and build confidence in their skills as they chart their unique musical path.
