Musical Explorers: Strings and Brass

Embark on a journey through the world of music in this exciting class designed to introduce students to two major instrument families offered at CMCB – Strings and Brass! Perfect for students new to music-making, this class allows young musicians to explore their artistry and discover which instrument resonates most with them.

Ages: 4–7

What to Expect

  • Hands-On Exploration: Students will try a range of instruments and learn the basics of how they work, making it easier to transition into focused lessons later.
  • Core Musical Skills: This class builds a strong foundation in ear training, rhythm, harmony, solfege, music literacy, composition, improvisation, and ensemble playing.
  • Pathways for Growth: After completing this class, students can:
    • Graduate into semi-private lessons with a new friend from class.
    • Transition to individual private lessons.
    • Join one of CMCB’s popular group classes.

Musical Explorers classes are a wonderful way for students to connect with their peers, grow as a musical community, and build confidence in their skills as they chart their unique musical path.
