Listening In: Music & Youth Mental Health

April 27, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Community Conversations is a speaker series seeking to engage others in dialogue about important issues in arts education.

Listening In: Music & Youth Mental Health

With Rachel Chao MPH, MSSW, MT-BC, Community Engagement and Clinical Manager and Chris Perry MT-BC, Senior Director of Community Engagement Programs

Our April Community Conversation will focus on youth mental health, and how music and music therapy can support this generation’s mental wellbeing. As we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact that it has had on many students are undeniable, especially on their mental health. This conversation will look at the current youth mental health environment, how music can be used as a coping tool, and share more information about music therapy used in mental health treatment.

This Community Conversation will be held virtually over Zoom. Details will be sent to all Eventbrite RSVPs.

Community Conversations is a series of workshops with CMCB staff that seeks to engage others in dialogue about important issues in arts education. We want the voices of our students, parents and partners to be heard. Join us to learn and share your experiences.

Additional information about registration and other events can be found at www.cmcb.org. This event is free for all to attend; please consider making a donation to CMCB to support this work.
