February 12 @ 6:00 pm 7:30 pm

A panel discussion centered around youth development with local educators and organization leaders.

Centering Youth: How Organizations Are Thinking of Teaching and Learning

More than ever, many organizations are leading with a youth-centered focus. By listening to and supporting young people based on their individual strengths, abilities, and aspirations, every student has a better opportunity to thrive.

Join us for an evening of conversation around youth development, and hear from local educators and organizations on how they are thinking about teaching and learning through their own work.

Speakers:

Dr. Sonya White Hope, President and Executive Director, Sankofa Songs

Kelly Huang, Director of Youth Programs, Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center

Nate McLean-Nichols, Program Director, Center for Teen Empowerment

Cathy Choi, Coordinator for Career Pathways, EdVestors

Moderator: Cori Bodley, Chief Programming Officer, CMCB

We hope you will be able to join us for this event, either in-person or through our Zoom broadcast!

Community Conversations is a series of workshops with CMCB staff that seeks to engage others in dialogue about important issues in arts education. We want the voices of our students, parents and partners to be heard. Join us to learn and share your experiences.

Additional information about registration and other events can be found at www.cmcb.org. This event is free for all to attend; please consider making a donation to CMCB to support this work.
