Overview: Youth Chorus offers ensemble singing, sight reading and solo opportunities to CMCB students enrolled in private lessons, ages 8-13. Singing a wide variety of choral and popular arrangements, the Youth Chorus is a fun and educational group that strives to improve our students’ singing, musical ears and vocal music reading, all while strengthening our community.
Rehearsals: The chorus rehearses weekly on Saturdays from 10:00 -11:30 AM.
Audition Requirements: No audition necessary; Open only to ages 8-13 (8 years old by September 1 of the school year).
Cost: $550/year. FREE to anyone enrolled in private instrument lessons. Financial aid and payment plans are available.

Goals and Expectations:
- Attendance: Attend rehearsals weekly and let the director know of any upcoming absences.
- Ensemble singing: Listening to other voices across the ensemble to create a unified sound when needed; singing and participating throughout all rehearsals and performances; conducting oneself as a positive participant and group member with fellow singers.
Evaluations: None; solo audition opportunities as they become available.

Organizing and bringing music to rehearsal each week.
Officers (elected in December and June) are responsible for arriving five minutes early to set up chairs and music stands. Music Librarian is responsible for making sure all members have their music and extra copies when needed.
