Chamber Music and Ensembles Faculty Instructional Lead, Cello
Stephanie Chen (she/her/hers), originally from Taipei Taiwan, is a cellist, performer, and educator. She is an active musician in both the Boston area and in Taiwan. Stephanie began piano and cello lessons with her mother at the age of 5 and holds a B.M degree in cello performance from the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester) and an M.M degree from the New England Conservatory.
As an avid chamber musician and orchestral performer, Stephanie regularly performs with a non-profit organization, Fermata, in which she also serves as Artistic Coordinator. Stephanie currently serves as the cello specialist at the Boston Latin School and a Teaching Artist at the Josiah Quincy Orchestra Program. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys cooking, painting, swimming, and drinking a cup of iced latte in the morning (even in cold winters)!
