Registration info for early childhood and elementary group classes (ages 0-12).

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available as 30 minutes*, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes long.
Lessons occur on a weekly basis. Lessons are available online and in-person, if permitted by our guidelines. You may note your preference after clicking “add to cart.”
Instruments available to rent include: violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, french horn, piccolo, lever harp/folk harp.
*30 minute one-on one instruction is ideal for new students and beginners.
Ensembles
CMCB Ensembles plan to return to in-person and hybrid for the 2021-22 school year. We will continue to monitor DESE, BPS, and local guidelines as we prepare our COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines update for the upcoming year. Please click here to learn about the audition requirements.

Students learn to create a healthy sound with efficient breath support, body awareness, and sound projection. Through group and solo songs, musical games/activities, movement play, and simple improvisation, young singers will gain confidence in their ability to sing and share music. Students will learn music fundamentals transferable to any instrument, making this an accessible first entry class. The class is limited to 8 students and is focused on preparing students for private instruction and/or Elementary level group classes.

Theory
Music Theory classes at CMCB give our students practical skills and a deeper understanding of the structure of music that they can apply on a daily basis. Our classes help improve students’ sight-reading skills, enhance their performances and help them to create their own music!
