The Cerulli-Kleshinski Piano Class
Most students do not have the means to practice or play on great instruments, and are therefore unaware of the potential of technique and sound quality that this kind of access can provide.  Community Music Center has been incredibly fortunate in the last year to acquire not one but two really fine concert pianos: the Kurt and Mary Cerulli Steinway is our concert grand in Allen Hall, and the John Kleshinski Steinway is a concert piano that is housed in our smaller hall, Room B.
The Piano Department is ecstatic to have access to these two fine instruments, and is now offering a class to help piano students learn how to perform on them for concertizing as well as to have a tangible goal in their own explorations at home and in the lesson room.  Students will learn about tone production, how to produce rhythmic eveness on a physically heavier action, and the effects that good pedalling can produce when done on a great instrument.
The Cerulli-Kleshinski Class will be held on Saturdays at 2 pm.  Students will perform weekly.  Please email Matt Bailin ( ) to register.
