On Sunday December 14, 2014, School Outreach and SummerARTS director Lucy Joan Sollogub was honored at a public event held at 15 Newbury Street (Emmanuel Center) in Boston’s Back Bay.

The event, “A Light Through the Ages” was hosted by Central Reform Temple, as a gift to the city of Boston and its residents and neighbors.  This program recalls the timeless Chanukah message of courage and justice with stories, song and candle lighting.  Eight civic leaders in Boston were selected to light a Chanukah candle at this event. These individuals were chosen, and announced to the audience because of their dedicated achievements and contributions to the city.  Lucy was among these “candle lighters” because of her work with CMCB to bring music and performing arts instruction to thousands of BPS students for over 30 years.
