Make a difference at CMCB

Join our Giving Societies to help sustain our programs. With your support, we can grow in our mission to provide equitable access to excellent music education. In return, you will gain access to special events, recognition as a leader at CMCB, and knowledge that you are building a lasting legacy at CMCB.

Rutland Society
The original building on Rutland Street as it was in the 1900's.

Even before Boston Music School Settlement had been established, South End Music School was a fledgling settlement house on Rutland Street. Rutland Street dates back to our most distant past. In honor of that legacy, the Rutland Society is a group of donors who donate more than $10,000 to support CMCB in its mission to provide equitable access to excellent music education.

Settlement Society
Students from the 1950's pose with teacher Flora Gay on the steps of CMCB.

This society remembers the two settlement houses, Boston Music School Settlement and the South End Music School, which merged in 1968 to create was is now known as Community Music Center of Boston. In honor of that legacy, the Settlement Society is a group of donors who donate between $5,000 to $9,999 to support CMCB in its mission to provide equitable access to excellent music education.

Warren Avenue Society
The door sign reads Music Center and hangs at the entrance of CMCB's 43 Warren Avenue home.

Throughout our history, we have occupied three addresses on Warren Avenue, in the heart of Boston’s South End. In honor of that legacy, the Warren Avenue Society is a group of donors who donate between $2,500 to $4,999 to support CMCB in its mission to provide equitable access to excellent music education.

Our first donor club was named in honor of our longest serving executive director, David Lapin. In honor of David Lapin‘s legacy, the Lapin Club is a group of donors who donate between $1,200 to $2,499 to support CMCB in its mission to provide equitable access to excellent music education.
