Join us for a Gala dinner celebrating Community Music Center of Boston’s impact throughout Greater Boston.  The Music Center currently has programs in over 35 schools and social service agencies throughout the city, reaching nearly 6,000 students annually through in house programming, School Outreach partnerships, Music Therapy sites and satellite locations.

The evening will also honor and celebrate David Lapin’s 36 year commitment to arts education through is work at Community Music Center of Boston.  David Lapin transformed the Music Center from a neighborhood resource into the arts education leader that it is today. Through is vision and commitment:

  • over 200,000 students have received music education
  • the Music Center has become the largest external provider of arts education in the Boston Public Schools
  • annual scholarships have increased 60 times, from $5,000 in 1983 to $300,000 today.
