CMCB now offers current CMCB students/families the opportunity to continue their music lessons online. If you are not a current CMCB student and are interested in online lessons, please fill out our interest form here. You will be contacted when online lessons are open to the public in May.

We currently offer the following lessons and classes online:

  • Private Lessons and Semi Private Lessons:

Piano
Voice
Winds: Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Oboe, and English Horn
Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, and Trombone
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass
Guitar, Ukulele, and Folk Harp
Percussion

  • Seminar Classes (Winds, Piano, and Strings)
  • Music Theory and Adult Music Theory (18+)
  • Music Therapy
  • Early Childhood (0-12)
  • Una Voce
  • Ukulele Choir

This is an option meant to support students that wish to continue to engage in instruction but cannot make it into our space at this time. This is an unprecedented time for us all, and it is comforting to know that we have a dedicated and thoughtful group of staff, faculty, teaching artists, music therapists, and board members who are committed to our students, clients, parents, guardians and caregivers. As we continue to navigate the news, we humbly ask that we all continue to show each other the compassion and flexibility that is consistent with the spirit of CMCB.

HOW ONLINE LESSONS WORK:

Online Platforms Preferred:

Current CMCB Students: If you wish to pursue online lessons, please contact your private lesson faculty member, and fill out our Online Lesson Consent Form. If you need help contacting your faculty member, please email mdepasquale@cmcb.org.

For Early Childhood and Elementary classes, please fill out our Early Childhood Consent Form. If you need help contacting your early childhood teacher, please email gambaccini@cmcb.org.

Lessons cannot take place until the student/family has filled out the private lesson consent form. Upon filling out the form, you will receive a copy via email.

WHEN CAN I BEGIN ONLINE LESSONS?

Online Lessons began for current CMCB students on Saturday, March 14. You can begin online lessons now to minimize gaps in programming, provided that the opportunity is mutually agreed upon with your faculty member, and your consent form has been completed. CMCB Online lessons will open to the public in May. If you are not a current CMCB student and are interested in online lessons, please fill out our interest form here. You will be contacted when online lessons are open to the public.

As we continue to navigate the news, we humbly ask that we all continue to show each other the compassion and flexibility that is consistent with the spirit of CMCB.

As a reminder: Before you begin lessons, please make sure that you complete the consent form for yourself or your student.

Already had your first online lesson? Fill out our survey. We are constantly learning and improving, and we value your feedback!

HOW DO I PAY FOR ONLINE LESSONS?

For the duration of CMCB’s 34 Warren site closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, online lessons and classes will be billed at the same rate as onsite lessons and classes, and financial aid allocations will remain the same for current students. If you have any questions, please contact Meghan Jasani, jasani@cmcb.org or Tiniqua Patrick, patrick@cmcb.org.
