CMCB was pleased to welcome violist and musicologist Christopher Jenkins (Associate Dean and Liaison for the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Oberlin Conservatory) to lead a Chamber Music Masterclass.  The Community Music Center of Boston is growing its chamber music program this year.

Students that take part in BEAM and ISP programming are all engaged in chamber music groups, consisting of 2-5 students per group that meet once a week with faculty coaches to focus on the essential skills that come with being a chamber musician, including team work and communication.

Christopher worked with five student groups on Saturday afternoon, identifying and working through a particular theme and area for growth with each group. Here are the groups he worked with during the master class:

1.String Duo (Viola/Cello): Pachelbel Canon
