Students Selected for Camp Point CounterPoint

The Music Center is thrilled to announce that 8 students have been chosen to participate in Camp Point CounterPoint.  Last year, 5 students were selected.  Six of the students are members of the Music Center’s Intensive Study Project.  The students will attend this three-week overnight camp, located on Lake Dunmore in Leicester, Vermont, focusing on teaching important musical and life lessons through chamber music.

The Music Center’s junior string quartet (Nethania Marc, Camille Chan, Amiel Marc and Caleb Orvik) has been chosen to attend Camp Point CounterPoint as a string quartet.  Three of the students, Nethania, Camille and Amiel, are all members of the Intensive Study Project (ISP).  Two other ISPers will also attend.  Kalina Nurse (violin) and Madeleine Lam (violin) will attend session one.  Additionally, Honney Thomas (viola) and Evan Thomson (violin) will also attend the Camp.

Congratulations to the students! We will do a follow up on how these students enjoyed their time at the Camp Point CounterPoint in a future issue of Vibrations!
