Gaudreau grew up in South Portland\, Maine\, and developed a love for vocal music from a young age. From elementary school onward\, he regularly sang in choirs and played in musicals/opera. A.J. graduated from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown\, Pennsylvania with a B.M. in Music Therapy (’19) and later moved to Boston in 2021. From his previous work\, A.J. has extensive experience using music to support early childhood development from ages 0-5. He has worked all across the age range in various settings including homes\, PreK-12 schools\, adult day programs\, and long-term care facilities. He believes in applying a very humanistic music-centered approach to his practice as a therapist. He is beyond thrilled to contribute to CMCB’s mission of providing equitable access to music-based services within his now-local communities. Outside of work\, A.J. loves to participate in community theater\, play with creative writing\, and attend renaissance faires. \n\n\n\n\n\nAnne Marie “Macky” Caldoza\, is a solo and collaborative Filipino pianist. In recent years she has performed Filipino and Western classical repertoire in the Boston area. She is on piano faculty at Community Music Center of Boston where she also serves as Faculty Instructional Lead\, and Teaching Artist for Piano and General Music in the Community Engagement Programs\, which provides music education to various communities in the Greater Boston Area. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Area 9 Quartet is a Boston-based ensemble dedicated to exploring the rich\, diverse and ever growing chamber music repertoire for saxophone. Recent performances have included works by Bach\, Debussy\, Glazunov and Vaughan Williams\, as well as compositions by Sidney Bechet\, Yusef Lateef\, Freddie Mercury and Herbie Hancock. Area 9 is also proud to have commissioned and debuted new works by contemporary composers\, including Jun Feng’s “Somehow\, Tango”\, performed at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge\, MA in 2015\, and Michael Kosch’s “Castle in the Air”\, which Area 9 premiered at the Metropolitan Playhouse in NYC in December of 2016. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Bassoon Band led by CMCB faculty member Janet Underhill is an entire ensemble of CMCB’s bassoon students! Janet Underhill\, a native of British Columbia\, Canada\, has been a bassoonist\, teacher\, and arts administrator in the Boston area for over 35 years. The Bassoon Band was a hit at last year’s Fête and was even joined by CMCB Executive Director and bassoonist\, Lecolion Washington. \n\n\n\n\n\nCarlos (Cabeto) Herrand Pou is a Dominican drummer\, composer & teaching-artist based in Boston\, MA. He joined the National Conservatory of Music at age 15\, shortly after\, he started to play with renown local jazz musicians. After participating in the 2015 edition of Berklee on the Road\, he was awarded a scholarship to join the prestigious Berklee College of Music\, where he graduated with the highest honor majoring in Performance. While at Berklee\, he studied with acclaimed drummers Terri Lyne Carrington\, Francisco Mela\, Neal Smith\, and Yoron Israel. In 2017\, he joined Berklee’s famous Berklee Global Jazz Institute undergraduate program\, where he studied under the tutelage of Danilo Perez\, Joe Lovano\, John Patitucci\, Ben Street\, Adam Cruz\, and others. He received the Steve Gadd Award in 2017 and The Most Active Drummer in 2018. In 2023\, he received his Master’s Degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music from Longy School of Music of Bard College as a Presidential & Equity Scholar. \n\n\n\n\n\nDeena Corkindale is a classically trained violinist\, multi-instrumentalist\, and producer. She performs with her electric violin and looping pedal\, building pop songs live from scratch\, and busks at Faneuil Hall\, as well as throughout Boston and New York City. After being introduced to CMCB through her father\, the school’s piano tuner and technician\, she studied the violin for over a decade and participated in various chamber\, composition\, and theory programs at CMCB. After graduating from Barnard College\, where she studied Physics and Psychology\, she now works in fundraising at an affordable housing non-profit in Brooklyn\, NY. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKevin Sullivan is a double bassist\, educator\, and composer originally from Manassas\, Virginia. He is a versatile musician with a rich background in multiple musical worlds beyond western classical\, including bluegrass\, metal\, and many different experimental spheres. His love for a wide variety of musical cultures (and his affinity for blending them together) lent itself well to education\, where he could draw upon a wealth of musical knowledge to address many students’ needs.  \n\n\n\n\n\nLemuel Marc is a Trumpet Player/ Composer hailing from Massachusetts. He currently attends the New England Conservatory of music where he studies Jazz trumpet and Contemporary Classical Composition. He has studied with Jazz Luminaries such as John McNeil\, Jason Palmer and Cecil McBee and has performed with musicians such as William Parker\, Hamid Drake\, Tomeka Reid\, Ken Vandermark\, Ben Hall. Their mission is to preserve the traditional art of self-defense\, lion dance and chi gong.
