SUMMARY:Young Composers' Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, May 9th from 9:30am to 3pm for CMCB’s annual Young Composers Festival\, YCF! \n\n\n\nYCF is a series of workshops\, performances\, and a call for scores session at CMCB. This year Dom Glaude and Mark Perez are leading workshops on beat making and orchestration. William Shipley and Kevin Sullivan will be performing violin/viola and double bass duos for our call for scores\, which will include pieces written by CMCB students as well as young composers from the greater Boston area. \n\n\n\nThere are many ways your students can get involved in YCF\, including: \n\n\n\n\nHaving an original piece performed in a concert hour (we can help pair composers up with performers if needed\, but can’t guarantee every instrument will be available)\n\n\n\nSubmitting a piece for the Call for Scores\n\n\n\nAttending as an audience member!\n\n\n\n\nYou can also find the registration form here. Please fill out the form for your students and let us know if they’re interested in attending\, performing\, or both by Wednesday\, April 22nd.
