CMCB believes that music is—and should be—a formative part of every child's education. We are now in our 30th year of supporting Boston's public schools through partnerships that bring CMCB's exceptional faculty into city classrooms.
Today, we serve more than 4,000 students in nearly 25 public and private schools each week, mostly during school hours with some extended day.
We customize our programming according to the needs of each individual school, making sure that our curriculum is in alignment with city and state arts curriculum frameworks. Student levels served include: preschool, elementary, and middle school. Class offerings include:

CMCB supports the infrastructure of our partner schools, of particular importance in a time of diminished public funding for the arts. We give schools hands-on, targeted consultation in fundraising, community—building and advocacy— tools for both successful and sustainable in-house arts programming.
For more information on how to bring CMCB's expertise into your school, contact Lucy Joan Sollogub, Schools Outreach Director, at 617-482-7494 x26 or schooloutreach@cmcb.org.
