CMCB students have been preparing performances for the past few months, culminating this Saturday with the best and the brightest playing for cash prizes.

Open to all instruments and voice, students in grades nine and under will perform at 12:30 pm in the finals of the Junior Division, and students in grades twelve and under will perform at 3:00 pm in the Senior Division.

Winners are chosen in each division by a panel of eminent judges drawn from the rich artistic Boston community, all unaffiliated with CMCB.
This event is open to the public and FREE of charge.

SummerMUSIC offers individual attention, group instruction, and multiple opportunities for developing skills and self-expression. Young musicians entering the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th or 7th grade in fall 2012 will enjoy an exciting summertime experience while they study their instrument under the tutelage of Music Center’s wind and string faculty.

In addition to teaching the technical aspects of music making, Beatshop Boston incorporates traditional music theory concepts, like harmony, melody and rhythm.

This workshop is for students of all backgrounds and ages.
We provide scholarships for students and those in need.
No experience with music required.

In addition to teaching the technical aspects of music making, Beatshop Boston incorporates traditional music theory concepts, like harmony, melody and rhythm.

Topics Covered: sequencing, MIDI, synthesizer programming, drum programming, sampling, equalization, compression, delay, reverb, song structure, mixing, basic signal flow, and recording audio, in particular, vocal production.
